This page explains how to request deletion of the personal information that Need A Hand QLD holds about you. This includes any information we may have received when you interacted with our Facebook or Instagram pages, ads, or messaging.
How to request deletion
Email us at ben@needahandqld.com.au with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include the following so we can find and verify your records:
- Your full name;
- The phone number and/or email address you used with us; and
- If you contacted us through social media, the Facebook or Instagram account or handle you used.
What happens next
We will verify your identity, then delete the personal information we hold about you within 30 days and confirm to you once it is done.
Records we may be required to keep
By law we must retain certain records — for example, tax invoices and financial records for at least five years under Australian Taxation Office requirements. We will delete everything we are not legally required to keep, and we will not use any retained records for marketing or any other purpose.
Removing app access on Facebook or Instagram
If you interacted with us through Facebook or Instagram, you can also remove our app’s access to your account directly: go to your Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites (or Instagram Settings → Apps and Websites), find Need A Hand QLD, and remove it.
